Tips that may be helpful to you:

Ask to proofread the obit before it is sent to the webpage or papers!

During the visitation, we were told water would be brought up for guests, and about 45 minutes into the visitation time, still no water and guests were asking if there was any available. We had to hunt down the employee to ask where the water was and it was finally brought out.

The obit had a typo in it, which would have gone unchanged had I not called to have it corrected, which was too late for one paper to get it right.

On the positive side, It is a beautiful facility to hold a service, with plenty of parking.

Having made no arrangements beyond his wish to be cremated I was at a total loss. Chantelle helped me work out arrangements that honored Dale's memory They worked within my budget, If you find yourself in need of making arrangements I highly recommend Wallace Family Funeral Home.

Even when I pointed out that our deceased loved one's wishes was for a modest funeral... I was ignored.

Decide, based on what your deceased loved one wanted, a budget and do not allow anyone to pressure you ...ever!!!

Ask to look at the funeral folder before its printed! Ours had a distorted picture on the front due to making the picture too long...also the obit part of the folder had odd uneven spacing toward the end that could have been taken care of with editing.

It was a very pressured and more stressful time than it should have been!

My husband's passing was much more quickly than we had anticipated and we hadn't made any arangements. I was was referred to Wallace's Family Funeral services by a family member.

Our family was pressured to only look at the very expensive caskets while being told "the state will get the rest of the money anyway" a couple's times, which, was NOT true! When I asked about looking at the very nice wooden caskets shown as samples on the wall, the Wallace employee ignored my request, and continued to show us, instead, the ones she brought up on the big screen at the end if the room... which were the most expensive ones! We were never shown the ones I asked about!
