Hy-Vee pharmacy employee s have always been polite and helpful. When asking about prescription pharmacist showed me the same thing over the counter saving me some money. The only thing they forget to do is ask for my Hy-Vee rewards card.
Pharmacy tech lied to us by saying a faxed refill request had been denied and that our doctor had stated we had to find a new doctor. After calling his office we found out that he had never been contacted nor had we been "divorced" as patients. If a pharmacist does not want to fill a prescription, that is their right, however it is not their right or the right of the pharmacy staff to lie to a patient or violate HIPAA statutes by making such a false announcement to a patient in a crowded pharmacy loud enough for everyone standing around in the vicinity to hear. A private word with the patient or their advocate is the correct way to approach the issue.
